Indian researcher Samir V Kamat delegated as DRDO Chairman

Kamat, who is Director General, Naval Systems and Materials, at the DRDO will succeed G Satheesh Reddy who has been named as logical counsel to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has supported the arrangement of Kamat as Secretary of the Department of Defense Research and Development and Chairman of DRDO from the date of his supposition of charge till he achieves the age of 60 years.
The ACC likewise endorsed the arrangement of Reddy as logical consultant to the safeguard serve, the request said. Reddy was designated as DRDO boss in August 2018 for a considerable length of time. He was given two years expansion in the post in August 2020.
